The Story

Since 2010 by Jean-François Ey.
From 2000 to 2009, Jean-François Ey worked for a major wine importer in the USA as French Wine Portfolio National Sales Manager.
He traveled intensively the US markets visiting thousands of restaurateurs and fine wine retailers and collaborating with dozens of distributors acquiring at a young age a very strong expertise of the US wine market but also a vision...
 

In 2010, he moved back home to the Roussillon, France and he aimed for a company that would source unique wines from ecologically conscious, independent, family owned wineries.

He established a rigorous selection process in order to choose wines that sometimes show Tradition, sometimes Innovation…hence the company name. He aimed to establish an educated sales force with a personal relationship with each winemakers.

The goal is to have direct representation in the key markets to keep a finger on the pulse and constantly analyze what is needed by its customers in order to source the best sustainable options from family owned growers.

In 2014, Ann-Sofie Hansson Ey joined the company by leading a local retail initiative that brings balance and expertise to the company primarily turned towards exporting to the USA.

The route to success for a start up company is never a straight line...today TRADITIONS & INNOVATIONS has developed 4 different successful business units.
From sourcing wines, to distribution, to export, to retail, to e-commerce, Jean-François Ey added grey hair but even more experience and focus on the long-term goal: to bring a myriad of smaller French & Spanish producers to the forefront of the key markets !

In 2020, the impact of the pandemic demonstrated the sustainability of the company and its diverse but complementary activities.
Ann-Sofie and Jean-François have decided that now, it is time to Scale up !
